Williams Valley High School had its fifth annual car show on July 15, 2006.

| Williams Valley School District lives right in the heart of our largest
influx of new members. Covering the Williamstown and Tower City areas, as well as
the same areas the "Small Block" Circuit Saturday cruise was developed,
it is just a given that the event would be crawling with Garage Club members and
their rides. This event was a fund raiser for the athletics department and this year
was their largest turnout yet at 178 cars on the field. Even the cheerleaders were
selling 50/50 tickets, and how could you say "no" to them? |
Above you'll see our new membership organizer, Matt Doyle, sporting
the club colors and giving everyone the information they need. Whether it is how
to join such a cool club, meet up with us for a Circuit Saturday event, or just the
web site address to check it out, Matt had it handled.
Like most shows, the cars were absolutely captivating. Even though the Garage Club
is more about driving the cars than showing them, there was something here everyone
would enjoy. From a large class of original & restored pre-war cars to sprint
cars, a blown Willys coupe, six packs, dual quads, fuelie corvettes, flathead street
rods, air suspension, and powerful stereo equipment. |

On top of all this going on, there were even two sets of entertainment
going on. All day they had a DJ spinning tunes and annnouncing the literally hundreds
of door prizes. Later they had Brad Crum, the areas premier Elvis impersonator put
on a show. There were plenty of cool drinks for us to survive the hot day. There
were three places of awards for each class and competition was stiff in every one.
All in all, it was a fun day to relax and socialize with a lot of car buffs who appreciated
every vehicle attending. Held every mid July, watch for the event next year. Click

Like Mustangs? There was a large "herd" of ponies this year.
CJ Pony parts had their customer appreciation day the weekend before this show and
the flyers for Williams Valley were in all the cars at the show. Here are some of
the Mustangs that showed: |
