Garage Club members race at Beaver Springs Stoplight Drags:

The third installment of the Stop Light Drags at Beaver Springs looked like an improvement in participants who were racing. Bob's changes may have worked for him. Though we didn't have many members show up to help, we had a few racers. Mike Potts helped to remove pink slips at the lower end from the losing cars. Mostly it looked like ladie's night from the club with the introduction of the "Soccer Mom" class.

We did have club T-shirts throughout the crowd as you can see in the upper left photo.

The above photo shows Ron Lemin having an issue with his supercharged Mustang on the starting line. All it was turned out to be a cracked intake hose messing up his induction system. A loaner from another racer and he was back on the track. That car is pretty fast and launches very hard.

This pic shows Dave's lady friend, Crystal, beating his new truck. Her first race ever was when she played the flag starter on "Diary of an American Street Racer", now she is on the track! She put a total of 16 miles on Dave's truck that night!

"Johnny Whiskey" a.k.a. Jon Winisko ran his Dodge Neon in two classes this time. He went pretty far and from what I saw was the best reader of the stop light that I've seen so far. Center shot is of Terry Brouse and his "Wild Thing" camaro. To the right is Capt. Ed Brady on his way to yet another final in the King Street Class.

On the right is Ryan Nau on his motorcycle. I didn't catch his Mom in the soccer mom class, but I think she went to the finals.

On the left, you'll see Melissa Aungst beating Denny's MR2 Spyder. Gotta do something till her Mustang is back! In the center is Mike Klinger in the F350 Dually against a FAST Dodge deisel. Maybe he should have sent April out since she beat his time by the end of the night. (Don't feel bad, Melissa is almost a second faster in the Spyder than me!) To the right is another shot of Ron Lemin in one of his passes after he borrowed an intake hose from another racer. It was a fun night, though we almost all broke out. The auto dial in bites you when the sun goes down. All in all, the changes to the program didn't really affect how much fun we had. It was still a pretty cool night. Beaver Bob knows how to keep it fun!
