My impressions:

My next mod was Che's rear member braces. These are an all aluminum reproduction of the rear section of TRD's 300 dollar brace set. (These are the rear half to complete the three brace set.)

Ther prices was right at 60 bucks shipped. Anyway, I love the powdercoating and it matches the front brace perfectly. You can't see it but it is a metallic finish.

Installation is a breeze. A lift makes it easier, but not necessary.

Tools Needed for this mod:

Brass hammer
Long thin punch
3/8 drive ratchet
1/2 drive breaker bar
1/4 drive ratchet and long extension
1/4 drive 10mm socket
flat blade screw driver
torque wrench
impact (nice, but not necessary)
1/2 drive 14mm socket
3/8 drive 14mm socket
14mm wrench

These are the bars will be installed on the rear section of the spyder. They are even marked left and right with the sticker toward the front of the bar.

A lift makes this go very easy, but make sure it is a platform lift that leaves the weight of the vehicle on the wheels. A set of ramps should do the same thing. Do not hang the suspension or the control arms may be harder to line up when removing/re-installing bolts.

Start by removing all the lower plastic splash shields. Set them aside with all the attaching screws and clips. It is up to you whether to re-install the shields. I chose to leave them off.

Remove this bolt& nut - note position (left side).

Reinstall bolt in the opposite direction

Remove this bolt & nut - note position (left side).

Reinstall bolt in the opposite direction, slip the correct brace over bolt threads and install nut inside brace.

Now slip the front section of the left brace over the first bolt you removed, then start the nut on the threads.

Leave the nuts finger tight and start on the passenger or right side following the same procedure. DO NOT tighten the nuts on the Driver's or left side yet.

Remove this bolt & nut - note position (right side).

Once again, switch the direction of the bolt and re-install it in the opposite direction.

Remove this bolt & nut - note position (right side)

Re-install the bolt in the opposite direction and start the nut on the threads inside the brace.

Slip the front of the right side brace over the bolt you previously switched and start the nut on the threads.

Next, leave the car down (if you had to jack up the suspension to remove the bolts) to allow the vehicle weight to settle before tightening the nuts to factory spec. The nuts should now be torqued. Check you manual for the correct sprec
