If I missed your car, I appologize and you can look for it on the Official Pottsville Cruise web site.
The staging area at Martz Hall is where the judging takes place. This is the best
place to see all the metal standing still. Here, They have a DJ playing tunes and
giving things away, People selling last minute drawing tickets for the cruise car,
and the sign up tables.
These pictures do not show all the vehicles by far. Many show up late for
sign in, many just crash the party, but all are welcome. |
|

Here is a young lady who we thought was just adorable. She had that sign which could
be flipped to different numbers to rate the cars. Maybe burnouts too.
Thanks for rating mine a 10! (OK, I admit it, she is looking at the cars behind mine.
Damn...)

The picture to the left is showing even the lower parking lot filling with cars after
the other lots were all full. Heard there was over 1500 cars. (Sorry, I don't know,
can't count that high.) |

Neat things tend to show for this. No, it is not real, it is a Fiero Kit conversion.
Very nice job though.
On the Right is my vehicle. I think I was the only GC member there with his ride.
Got many comments on the lowered suspension and "100 MPH Club" Stickers. |

Talk about drawing attention away from my slowpoke machine. At
least he took all the ribbing about not spinning his tires, leaving me off the hook.
Now, here to the right is how a Cadillac should have been built, right? Notice the
"Rat" power showing on the hood.

| This rod belongs to a good friend of mine, Dennis, also from Pine Grove. Look for
this unit to be sporting Vinyl graphics detailed enough to fool you it is paint,
as well as a bit more detail work. Can't wait to see it. |

See some action pics out on the cruise route below.

After one lap, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours of bumper to bumper, the GC members usually
park at Burger King to watch the action. Check out the long line down the hill. (Also
note the puddle of Clorox. What would that be for, I wonder?) |
|
| "Burnouts are not permitted anywhere on the cruise route." This information
was given out on the radio, newspapers, and even twice when you signed up. Glad hot
rodders don't know how to read! |
|
Most were pulled over, tickets were even issued to some, yet, there was more rubber
on the street at Burger King than everywhere else in Pottsville put together. |

The pictures to the left and right are showing guys actually pushing their car through
the cruise route after overheating. (I was not taking pictures of the girls' asses.
Well, not really. OK, you got me. Click for the full size view.) I wish I had a recording
of the heckling these saps endured. |

To the left is one of the more impressive machines that made the loop.
Right: How many Cyclone Spoilers do you see running around? Very cool. |

Thought I was the only one sporting Beaver Bob's 100 MPH club sticker.
I was wrong. |

There was something for everyone's taste here. Just look at this picture to the left.
New Vette, Old Cobra, and an Eclipse in the same photo. |

Look at this one on the left. Flat black, really fast, and using up both lanes when
it hook on a burnout attempt.
To the right: What the .....? |

Very Clean Dart. Graphics and wheels on the Toyota Celica. The most popular mode
of non-driving transportation: The boxes of pick up trucks. |
