Jon is looking for any information to find his
father's old 'Cuda.
Jon states," I
know this is a long shot, but it's worth a shot. I'm trying to track down my dad's
old car."
|
| "It's a '70 Plymouth 'Cuda 440-6 pack. The pics
are from 1975. The car was sold shortly after to a guy from Minersville, PA. The
car was maroon when my dad bought it with the silver shaker scoop. The previous owner
raced the car at Numidia in the early 70s and won many trophies with it." |
| "It is a factory 440-6 pack with a 727 automatic.
It had a Rallye dash, slap shift and the rare overhead console. It didn't have a
wing, louvers, or hockey stick stripes. When the car was sold it had aluminum slot
wheels, traction bars, Hooker headers, and Walker side exit pipes. (It was actually
straight pipe, but Walker sold it as a kit.)" |
"Within the last few years I heard of the car
being in Tremont, PA, but I can't verify it. If anyone knows anything or has a lead
on the car, please email me at moparsc1@ptd.net . I know it's a long shot with no
VIN, but I have to give it a shot.
Thanks,
Jon." |

This is Jon's '96 Ram Air Firebird.
Jon states, "I bought the car in June of '07 at Sands Ford in Pottsville. The
previous owner traded it in on a new Mustang GT. The car was all stock with the exception
of a K&N filter and Flowmaster catback. As I bought it, on street tires, the
car ran 15.03 @ 98. The fact that it was my first time racing a stick car didn't
help either."
|
| "Since then I replaced the Flowmaster with SLP Loudmouth exhaust,
added an LT-4 knock module, airfoil to the throttle body, subframe connectors, and
most importantly slicks. The car has run a best of 13.74@103. It's 1 of 524 Ram Air
Formula's in 96. Future plans for the car are a 396 stroker and some nitrous. Also,
I want to have the car resprayed as the clear coat is peeling. I want to turn it
into a streetable low 11 sec car on motor." |
|

 |
"I'm a die hard bracket racer. I'm at Beaver every Friday
I don't work.
I've won the '05 and '06 Sport Compact points championships in my daily driver '05
Neon."
|
"I'm also into 80's era turbo Mopars. I'm slowly redoing a 87
Shelby Lancer. It's a 2.2 Liter, intercooled turbo car.
I'm only 21, but don't really fit in with "car guys" my age. I see myself
as more of a traditonal hot rodder. Speed over appearance. That's why I joined the
club. You guys actually drive and enjoy your cars."
Thanks Jon and welcome to the club! |
