Frank sent me some information on his smokin' ride. Looks like he has himself a handful of ponies here.

This car is motivated by a jensen built 302 which was stroked out to a 349 cubic in. powerplant. This engine dynoed at 645 hp in street trim on the engine alone. This is also topped by a 2 stage Nitrous kit. The engine is backed by a powerglide tranny, followed up by 3.73:1 ratio gears in an 8.8" Ford posi. Wit it's potential at the track, Frank installed a 7.50 certified roll cage to keep him safe. The cars runs in street classes and 10.5 inch tire classes. The car started out as a total loss that Frank bought and rebuild at his shop (F&W Auto Body) located in Williamstown. The entire car was built and painted by Franks own hands.

Frank's latest magazine appearance is in "Hemmings Muscle Machines". It's a very well written story about the father/daughter team of Tiff and Frank Tankalavage. The coolest part is that Hemmings editor, David Traver Adolphus, contacted us after coming accross this web site. He took some contact information about club members, including Frank and Tiff's for this article, and will be doing some more in the future. How cool is that?

Frank's car was also featured in "Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords" magazine a couple of years ago.
I hope to find out what year and issue. If you have it, please let me know!

Congratulations to Frank as he was #3 in the 100 MPH Club for 2003 and #4 in 2004 & 2002. This was the build up for finally winning the #1 spot in 2005.

Cool!

.........

This car sees quite a bit of street time! It is driven to all events except race days!
Here it is at the 2006 Pottsville Cruise night. We had a large club turn out this year!

.
Below:
Frackville Cruise Night.

As you can see in the two bottom pictures, he sees street time in this machine.
I am sure he sends quite a few wannabe hot rodders away with their tail between their legs

I'll end this article with the view most people see of this car when it's in action.
