Above: Pictures of Ed's car at the May 2008 GC meeting at Paul Chevrolet in Ashland. Ed is also the Service manager at the dealership. Also enjoying the new paint from the dealership's body shop (work done by all Garage Club members) is Ed's son. He's attending the official meeting in probably the coolest seat in the house! There was even a photographer from the paper at this event and took a picture of the garage club members who worked at Paul's and put it in the newspaper.

Here are some "before" pictures as the car get disassembled. Click any picture to see a full sized image:

Here are some pics of Ed Johnson's '72 Nova SS.

Jesse Abdo restored and painted the car at Paul Chevrolet's body shop. I am posting some of these pics on the site to show members the work done to a classic ride at the body shop. Keep in mind there are several Garage Club members employed there.

Ed has owned this car since 1993. Some specs on the car include 355 cubic inch small block Chevy backed by a Muncie M21 4 speed transmission and some 4.11 gears in the 12 bolt rear. The car has some cool things like bucket seats, console, and front power disc brakes.

The car had 2 full quarter panels, 1 door skin, 2 front fenders, and a 4 inch cowl hood installed. The new color is hugger orange. Below are pictures of the process at Paul Chevrolet's body shop. Watch for some more finished pics at one of our cruises!:
