Craig's Dad, Ed, found this in a garage by his house. He got it and gave it to Craig for Christmas 2007. It's all original except for the stereo and hubcaps. Soon to be a big block. Watch for more!

Craig gave me the background on his nice '88 IROC Camaro:

"Ever since I was about 7 years old, my Dad (GC member Ed Wassell) kept telling me that if he ever found a '88 Iroc Camaro, he was going to buy it for me. Because I was born in 1988, he said that it would be neat to watch the car grow old with me. "

"Well, he kept looking, but he didn't find one he liked until I was 13. The day we found the car, I was in my cousin's wedding. The morning of the wedding, we got up early and went out for breakfast. On the way back to the hotel, we took the long way back for a ride. We went on this back street and there was a little car lot with about 6 to 8 cars on it. There it sat, a 1988 Iroc."
"We stopped to look at it and talked to the guy at the lot. The car needed some engine and interior work, but the guy said it was an 'A' title with a little over 60,000 miles on it. The clear coat was peeling off the roof, hood, and trunk. We told the guy that we would be back and we would take the car. We picked the car up that Monday and by Tuesday we started working on it."
"My dad and I did all the body work on the outside and the interior work was done by CJ Young of Locust Dale. CJ put a Chevy bow tie head liner in the car and also installed Chevy bow ties on the two sides in the back seat area. It looks awesome.

The car was repainted by my dad, he does awesome paint work. The car has won several awards at car shows and Cruise's."

"One night I was on the computer and decided to decode the car. While everything matched, the best thing I found out was the fact that the car was built in November, the month and year that I was born. The car will stay with me forever. It's Awesome!

Thanks Dad."
