Pictures on this page were taken by Butch with a "polaroid" at his garage in Tower City. Look for more as I get to take some at an event!

Butch is one of our Tower City members. He gave me some stats on his project at the last GC meeting (10-2006):

Butch states, "My car is a 1970 Ford Mustang Fastback. This car was always my dream car I paid 3000 dollars in 2000 for the car from a friend who had the car just sitting in her garage for 8 years. Before she owned the car, the previous owner used the car as an everyday driver. He actually found the car in a junkyard being used as a dog house and brought it back from the dead."

He also mentioned, "The car is powered by a 302, bored .030 over and cammed. It also has 351 W heads with oval exhaust ports and headers. The intake side is topped by a 650 Holley Double Pumper.

The engione is backed by a C4 3 speed automatic trnsmission with a shift kit."
"With a lot of help and support from my best friend Chas Pinkerton, we got the car to the point it is today. It is not complete, but it's getting real close."

"Another good friend of mine, Kerry Moyer, also helped me out by doing the valves and giving the carb a good tuning. These adjustments sure made this pony get up and run."
Butch also told me, "The big project I have planned for this winter involves installing a posi traction rear in the car. Then I can take my son and grandson cruising with the Garage Club."

On the Track.

Butch showed me many pictures at the meeting. It showed me he was doing this car right. Anything that had rust was reconstructed. Suspension and engine bay have been rebuilt and detailed. All the Mustang problem areas have been addressed.

I love his choice of color for the car which you can see edged and painted on his shock towers It will be a real eye catcher when he gets is completed. Watch for some cool shots of this car as it progresses and cruises with us on any given Saturday night.
