Andy Jensen unveils his new Pro Mod:
Yep, it's a '68 Camaro. What better model car for Andy to build? He said he was racing
the car this weekend for the first time. He told me it's been going together since
May of '07. After a best of 6.20 in his Pro Mod Vette, will he get a sub 6 second
pass? He didn't send a picture of the tail lights. Oh well, everyone who races Andy
should get a good view of them!

| Andy states on his website," My earliest involvement in racing
came through my older brother, Rich Jensen, who, when I was about 12 years old, started
competing in one form or another of motor sports, from go-carts to drag racing, modifieds
and late models. Lacking the financial resources to race myself, I participated by
helping Richie in any way possible. |
| "By the time I turned 16, the need to build a racecar of my own
was finally fulfilled. I purchased a 1968 Camaro and built my first engine, which
promptly blew up before leaving the garage. (I have since learned a great deal about
engine oiling). From that point on, it has been a constantly rising learning curve.
Whenever I could scrape together some cash, it went into a newer, faster engine for
my car." |

"In 1985, at age 20, I was working full-time in an industrial machine shop and
part-time in an automotive machine shop. For 7 years I maintained this 2-job status,
getting plenty of experience machining and building performance racing engines.
I gave up the part-time job in 1992, bought some equipment and opened my own engine
shop. For the next 3 years the shop stayed part-time and produced a number of winning
race engines, from Street Stocks to Late Models, even nitrous drag engines, one of
which produced well over 1,000 hp (from 434 cu. in.), and pushed my Camaro into the
7’s, making it the first small block street car to achieve such an outstanding performance.
On January 1, 1995 I gave up my full-time machinist job, bought more equipment (including
a near-new Hines engine balance), and took on a partner, the late Tom Larnard who
ran the parts counter. We were now a full-time operation and learning at an ever
increasing pace.
Now, 20 years later, Jensen’s Engine Technologies is a very successful operation
with a new 3,800 sq. ft. building and all of the equipment needed to build or rebuild
engines from every aspect of the performance automotive field. At J.E.T. we build
race engines for drag, oval, marine, and even mud boggers. We also build performance
engines for street use and restorations. We can perform all automotive machine shop
operations in house for race or stock jobs, all with a level of precision and craftsmanship
that you will not find anywhere else at any price. If you check out our shop order

rates are very reasonable. And with our buying power we are able to offer the best
pricing on hardcore race engine parts. This, coupled with our low overhead, makes

"Our racing team consisted of a 1967 Corvette Pro Street car
which we have now sold. (see pics and specs from this car below) This car originally
started out with nitrous oxide and ran a best e.t. of 6.66 at 208 m.p.h. We have
since removed the nitrous fogger and are running a naturally aspirated small block
Chevy power plant, which in 2004 ran consistently in the 7.40’s at over 180 m.p.h.
For 2005 we ran a 481 c.i., naturally aspirated small block, that was designed specifically
to run without nitrous." |
| "Our current racecar is a 1964 Corvette, powered by a single
turbo-charged Chevy small block. These high tech, high horsepower cars are becoming
very popular so we built one to figure out how to make them work. 2004 was our first
year with this car. It ran a best e.t. of 6.48 at 215 m.p.h., and we weren’t even
close with the tune-up. We have learned a great deal about these types of engines
in our first year, and expect more consistent performances in the mid 6.30’s at 220
m.p.h. in 2005." |

"The two-car team was an amazing amount of work, but the benefits
were worth the work. Add the workload from the shop and it just gets to be more than
one guy can handle. At the shop, my full-time guy is Joe Barna. He is awesome at
his job. He does flawless work and needs little supervision. The race team workload
is handled by me and my crew. Rob Felegie handles the clutch, transmission, and intercooler.
Chris Fisher handles the fuel, chutes and tires, Liana Fisher handles the video and
is back-up on the computers." |

Andy's 1964 Pro Mod Turbo Vette
(this car has been sold)
Andy states on his Website,"This is a 1964 Corvette Pro Mod
style car. What sets it apart from other Pro Mod cars is that it is powered by a
high tech , turbocharged , small block Chevy producing nearly 2,000 H.P. These types
of engines are becoming very popular with all ages of motorsports fans. The unique
sound and starting line show of a turbo car is a real crowd pleaser. In its first
season of competition, this car has run a best e.t. of 6.48 at 215 m.p.h. and won
the Northeast Pro Mod Association points championship. With the knowledge the team
has gained, and the equipment upgrades made for 2005, more consistent performances
in the 6.30 e.t. range can be expected. This car is available for exhibition runs
or match races. This is a reliable team with up to date equipment, and we will make
every effort to keep any booked dates and put on a top quality show for your fans."

Andy states on his Website, "This car is a 1967 Corvette Bruis
Glass Works carbon fiber body. It has a PA title, is inspected, and all lights and
horn work. The car rides on a John Little 25-1C certified moly chassis with a 104”
wheel base, lamb struts, and is stopped by carbon fibre brakes. |
| "The Engine is a new 481 c.i. canted valve small block with a
Brodix 9.520 deck block, Callies 4.400 crank, Oliver titanium rods, JE ultra crown
pistons, 300M pins, Jesel belt drive, a trick titanium Comp .981 lift roller camshaft,
Crower .875 tappets, Comp 7/16 dual taper push rods, Jesel Mohawk 1.8 rockers with
custom rigid stands, Manley titanium valves, titanium impinged retainers and locks,
Manley springs, Brodix CV330 heads with CNC port job flow 438 @ 800 on intake, Stefs
pan and tank, Barnes 4-stage pump, CFE intake, Bolaws 1050 dominators, Product Engineering
460 GPH pump, And a NOS pro-fogger anular nozzle system." (That's quite a mouthful.) |

"This drives a Lenco CS3 5-speed transmission with 3 spare gear
sets through a RAM 10”dual disc billet clutch.All this is followed by a Mark Williams
aluminum drive shaft, Mark Williams modular rear with aluminum spool and yoke, lightened
456 gears, and all studs and hardware are titanium.
Other items include a SC-1000 RacePak with 8 EGT probes, oil, fuel pressure and pan
vacuum sensors, Toshiba laptop, autometer gauges and playback tach, 16-volt 3-post
system with boost box and alternator, Davis radiator with 2 fans and mazere pump." |

"This car was designed to be light, fast and low maintenance.
I have been racing it since 2000 and it has been just that. It weighs in at just
1930lbs with a 180lb driver and has gone 6.66 @ 208 with one stage and 7.32 @ 188
with the new 481 and no nitrous. In the four years that I have raced this car it
has made about 300 passes and has never broke apart other than a few nitrous mishaps.
It is user and track surface friendly. There is not a track that it won’t go down.
This is the perfect car for Top Sportsman or Pro Street. It doesn’t overheat in town
traffic and with all of the factory chrome is looks like an original ’67 Vette body."
