Chris' idea for a monthly Saturday night, Circuit Saturday's Small
Block Circuit happens each fourth Saturday of the month. Show up at any time or any
place on the map and join in.
Watch for additional routes as they are added to the website. The plan for this idea
is to be able to cruise somewhere on any given Saturday night. Come and join us!

The "Small Block" Circuit is always the Garage Club's large
cruise event, but this month's "Small Block" route was the largest turnout
for our cruisin' event to date.We had over 50 cars defy climbing fuel prices to cruise
through the stops. Not just cars, though, there were also several bikes.
The highlights of this event included RC car racing by the younger crowd, Marlie
Whitcomb breaking a camshaft and some rockers in Halifax, a new batch of GC t-shirts,
and a line of cars farther than you could see as we cruised along the route. At almost
every stop we needed to find overflow parking. There were people standing out along
the entire route to see the cars go by. Even at the stops we had people checking
out the cars resembling a car show setting.
The "No burnouts" rule held up almost the entire night. With the exception
a a very few who didn't realize this rule was adopted, we did see a near 1000hp car
make a launch at the Boardwalk. After the display, we decided to amend the rule to
exempt everyone over 1000 hp. (just kidding) All in all, this was probably also the
coolest Circuit Saturday event to date and I don't see an end to it's growth or improvement.
