Buddie's Log Cabin Cruise still a hit with the Garage Club
Members:
This year, Buddie's Log Cabin had two shows to celebrate the 30 year
anniversary. The first was in July and it was just as popular the second time in
September. Quite a few Garage Club members brought out their rides to come down and
enjoy the hamburgers, ice cream, DJ entertainment, and cruise cars.
Plenty of cars showed up at the restaraunt for their annual 50's style cruise
in. They sell cheap cheeseburgers and milkshakes for the event. There are also plenty
of door prizes given away as well as people's choice awards for the cars. 50's music
is played by a professional disc jockey all evening long. After a 4 year absence
of this event, this year Buddie's paved their lot and brought it back. Again, A large
contingent of GC members came in. |

What an evening! We saw some new club cars like Joe DiFalco's '56
Drag truck shown here to the left. There was also a hot rod coupe from "the
day" that was just out of the barn. Dave Lehr's Biscayne made it's debut after
a bit of a "sleep" and an engine refreshing. How about a young lady walking
her goat on a leash through the event for something unusual? Even cooler, Hemming's
Classic Car magazine showed up at the event all the way from Vermont to take pictures.
He was especially taken by my '36 DeSoto and even came to the barn to do an article
on a few of my rides to be published soon.
These events are always cool and relaxing to hang out. Make sure to come early and
