Circuit Saturday 4-Speed Circuit!

.

Click map to see large version for printing.

Chris' idea for a monthly Saturday night, Circuit Saturday's 4-speed Circuit happens each second Saturday of the month. This route was designed by the Garrisons. Show up at any time or any place on the map and join in.

Watch for additional routes as they are added to the website. The plan for this idea is to be able to cruise somewhere on any given Saturday night. Come and join us!

See pics from one of our "4-Speed" circuit cruise nights below.

Circuit Saturday's second "4-speed" route ran smoothly in May:

Pics from the "4-speed" Circuit Saturday ---> 5-10-2008

Our second attempt at the new "Circuit Saturday" route for 2008, the 4-speed route, was a winning evening all night. The group was larger this time around and we got to eat at the "pre-cruise" chicken dinner. The trip was amazing on this route and it is probably the most scenic route we have yet. As we wove between farmed fields, dairy farms, and stone homes on curvy back roads at a relaxing pace, we got waves from all types of people. At each stop, there were spectators who stopped or just slowly cruised by to look at some of the rides. There was quite a mix of vehicles in the train.

After we left Kauffman's, most of us realized that we left room for ice cream at Raub's. We picked up a few more vehicles at this second stop and were close to filling the parking lot. Much more turnout and we may be looking for some sort of overflow parking here.

Chris Ives gave me some shots below of the train crossing we got caught at on the way to the third stop. It actually worked out pretty well bunching up almost all of the cars.

The rest of the evening was pretty uneventful. After a stop at the Dutchway to regroup and get some socializing in, we headed through Schaefferstown on our way to Colebrook Twin Kiss. I was pleasantly surprised at this leg of the cruise since last month some of ust didn't make it this far. We wound through a town filled with close stone houses on a narrow street that gave me the feel of driving in Europe again. Then we passed througha campgroun in Mt Gretna just before Colebrook. The sun was falling and It made for some nice footage for our video.

Following our stop for a second ice cream at the Colebrook Twin Kiss, we backtracked through the Mt Gretna Campground and stopped in at the Hess station. While there we got a call from more people who were waiting at Coleman's Park. Even though we were running late by now, we headed in to Coleman's just to find it closed. (They close at Dusk and it was getting dark.) To close the evening out, most of us headed back into lebanon to make the old cruise circuit a couple times. Once again a couple of us got caught at a train and we got split up. I came to find out that a local import taunted one of our hot rodders only to be sent off with his tail between his legs. Brings back memories of the old days... Then again, wasn't that the idea when we started these cruise routes?
