Garage Club 100 MPH club is forming:

The rules are simple. Get an inspected street car to do over 100 MPH in the quarter mile through the mufflers with DOT approved tires.

Dave Lehr has been collecting the time slips. If you want to be included in our new club page, just get your time slips to him at an event, or send him an email at cayne66@comcast.net .mailto:cayne66@comcast.net?subject=100mph%20clubshapeimage_7_link_0
Want to know a little history?:
Back in the 90s when the club was just beginning, the primary focus of the club was drag racing. Mainly “street car” drag racing. The faster the street car was that you saw on the street, the cooler it was.

To promote our enthusiasm for the “street racing” format, Tom Larnard suggested that the Garage Club began to sponsor jackets each year to the top 10 fastest street machines at Beaver Springs Dragway. This became known as the “100 MPH Club”. Tom was the 100 mph club president for the first three years straight. (Since his his passing and the rebirth of the 100 mph club, we decided to always add him to the 100 mph club for his legendary influence in the club. Thanks Tom and God speed.)

The rules stated that these vehicles must be street legal, inspected, through the mufflers, with D.O.T. tires. They couldn’t be Outlaw Chassis vehicles, but may be tubbed and back halved.

There was a change for the 100 MPH Club awards in 2001. Bikes now had their own class and jackets were awarded to the top 10 cars totaling 13 jackets. In 2003 the club stopped sponsoring jackets as Dave Lehr’s ClassicJunkyard.com took over.http://www.ClassicJunkyard.com100mph_club_files/image008.jpgshapeimage_9_link_0
Well, we have brought the club back to the club!

Want to know the rankings? Keep checking here and watch for the list to grow and change. There are also some random shots of the stars who have made it to the magic number in the quarter mile wherever the ran. One note however, construction zone signs and speeding tickets will NOT get your name on the list.
